AdWord Google

Make sure all of the products you are promoting with Google Adword give you at a minimum a $30 payout … and oftentimes this payout will even be too small. Consider this. The average affiliate marketer only converts 1 out of every 100 visitors to a sale.

Now overtime I would hope that you can get this number up to about 1.5%, but don’t count on it! Also consider that clicks are a single Google Adword click can be pretty expensive. You MIGHT be able to get by bidding only .30 cents per click. Now these numbers are the averages and if they apply to you then you will be taking a loss on a product you promote that pays a commission lower than $30.

If you are selling affiliate products through with a Google Adword campaign then you better make sure to include a disclosure page on your site. This is basically a page telling everyone who visits that you are an affiliate and you make money when people purchase the product that you are recommending.

Why do you need this page? Well first because Google likes to see it which will help your quality score (which helps determine your CPC). Additionally the FTC now requires that affiliates provide some sort of disclosure on their sites.

AdWord Google and Quality Score

Quality Score is the primary factor in determining your cost per click on a Google Adword campaign. The higher the QS the lower the CPC. To get a higher score make sure your landing page is highly relevant to the ad that you are running. For example if your ad includes the phrase house mortgage be sure to include that same phrase throughout your website.

Split test your Google Adword campaign. This means that you should always be running at least 2 versions of your ad. Find which versions perform better, scrap the one that under-performed and build a new one to test against the old. You should also split test your landing pages to see which landing page converts sales the best. To do this spend day 1 sending traffic to landing page 1. On day 2 send it to landing page 2, and vice versa. Do this until you have received 200 clicks to each landing page. Scrap the one that performed the worse and build another to test against the winner.

For your Google Adword campaign to be successful you must have a CTR of 1% or higher. If you are below 1% Google will lower your QS and raise your CPC. The best way to quickly reduce the cost of your campaign is to get that CTR up as high as possible. The way to do this is very simple (but can be expensive) … increase your bid until you gain the number 1 spot in the results, this will jump your CTR up.

Adwords Google Mastery Means …

Adwords Google is the king of PPC marketing. It has the largest audience and in the Internet Marketing world that means everything. You see the vast majority of people use Google. The people who use Google encompass every demographic and niche around … so if you cut yourself off from Google you are cutting yourself off from the majority of your potential customers … and that of course would be insane.

Adwords Google is the fast track to success. You can put up and ad and within 48 hours know if you have a winner or a loser. It could take you months of work and countless hours of tweeking to get the same results from SEO. It kind of begs the question why anyone would bother with SEO (well that are actually some very good reasons, but that’s not what this article is about. There are times and places for SEO and other forms of marketing, but nothing should replace PPC… it simply works too fast to ignore it. People usually avoid PPC because they are afraid of it … with good reason, you can lose money extremely fast with Adwords Google or any of the other networks.

The trick to making a killing at PPC (as opposed to losing your shirt) is to make sure that you truly understand your niche. The goal of a good PPC campaign is to write an ad that resonates with your niche and makes them want to click on it. Usually this means that you need to convey that you understand whatever their problem is and you have the solution to it.  In order to do this you really need to know everything you can about the niche that you are targeting … how else can you understand their problems and write ad copy in Adwords Google that will be compelling to them?

Ask yourself these questions: What does my niche want? What do they need? What can I offer them? How can I solve their problems? Those are the key questions you must be able to answer if you want to write compelling ad copy. Additionally you need to figure out what your audience is searching for. What keywords and phrases are the using when they try to find the answer to their problems? To a certain extent this will take some guess work on your part, but you can use Google’s Keyword Tool to help you along.

After you have your keyword list and made your first Adwords Google campaign be sure to track your results and split test. Always test. Test everything. That is the only way you can learn what works and what does not work.
